IT WORKSSo far wearing this on my 'good' aching knee has kept me out of having a knee replacement surgery. I'm NOT bone on bone in this knee but nerves are pinched or something in there and Wearing this during the day on the skin has prevented the major pain I was going through before. I bought ANOTHER one for my knee replacement knee because that knee hurts like I never had a replacement and KneedIT helps out alot. I am VERY active and on my feet a lot. If you are reading this and considering the purchase vs surgery BUY THIS instead.5This actually works!I have bone-on-bone arthritis in my left knee. My orthopedic surgeon wanted to order a $1,500 knee brace for support before a total knee replacement next year. I remembered that I had this knee support about several years ago when I was on vacation and it helped me get through the walking. I went looking for it in my travel accessories but had no luck finding it.I did a search on Amazon since Magellan's (the original store) costs over $30 plus shipping for the same item. The point of this is that this really works. With it, I don't need to use any pain relief and am able to walk without main or worrying about support for my knee. The only problem I have is that the strap can be irritating (it's a velcro-type strap) if you don't align the end of the strap with the main part of it.5Reduced my Pain QuicklySo far, so good.I was skeptical about the claims for this little band. It appeared to be uncomfortable from my observation of others wearing similar bands. I did some research on this concept and found an article written by someone not involved in this industry. They had both good things and bad things to say about the theory. The fact that more people said it helped than said it made no difference convinced me to at least try it.Both my knees have a lot of joint pain. At times they are almost unbearable, particularly after a period of shopping or other activities that keep me on my feet for a long period of time. The pain comes after sitting for a while and then trying to get up. I can truthfully say that I noticed a reduction in pain after having worn these for only 5 or 10 minutes. I thought I was imagining things and wore them for about 10 hours the first day. They were comfortable to the point that I forgot that I had them on....except for the much lower pain level even after sitting for a while and then standing,It did not remove all pain, but so far they have produced a significant reduction.I am going to let another family member try them to see if they help. If so, I shall be ordering another pair.5Comfort Cushion On Strap Needs to be LongerAfter reading about the Pro Band Sports KneedIT XM Knee Support, it sounded wonderful. I tried it and immediately discovered that the strap cushion should be longer in my case. The sharp edge of the strap rubs against my skin and causes a significant abrasion. I adjusted the cushion only to find it then rubbed in a different spot. After the abrasion healed, I tried again and kept the strap looser. That was useless since it wouldn't stay in place. If I could find a way to pad the strap where it rubbed against my skin, this would probably be good. I have arthritis and I felt it helped when I went up and down stairs. Too bad the company doesn't offer a longer strap cushion or an added extension pad for those of us with a slightly heavier leg.If I had known about the "precaution" listed in the leaflet, I would have ordered the strap without the magnets. The precaution reads: "Magnetic products should not be used if pregnant or if fitted with cardiac pacemakes and/or automatic internal defibrillators. Keep out of reach of magnetically stored data, i.e. computers, disks, credit cards, etc." I frequently work with a laptop on my lap (on a lap board) but became concerned that the magnets could erase or damage data on my computer. I'd like to think they are not strong enough for that but was not willing to take the chance. Having to remove the KneedIT XM need strap frequently due to being in close proximity of my computer, I found I had the strap off much more than I had it on.3It s ok for the right knee problemI thought it would help my knee as like the similar one I have for elbow tendonitis but it didn t, so I guess it depends what s wrong with your knee. It doesn t really do anything for me. I have old acl sprains, old popliteal cyst, sprain of posterior meniscal insertional ligament, subtle insertional strain of distal part of quadriceps tendon and softening of articular cartilage, etc. I like that this brace is not elastic, so it offers some support.4Helped with my patellar tendinosis during bowlingI had an MRI which showed I had severe patellar tendinosis in my left knee. I've been dealing with this since September 2015. I'm a bowler and this puts a lot of strain on my left knee. I've tried different patella straps and a full knee brace along with taking ibuprofen before bowling, but these didn't help the pain I was experiencing. Another bowler said he had the kneed-it strap (without the magnets) and it really worked for him, so I gave it a try. I got it a week before Christmas. My son wanted to practice so I figured I would give it a try. I didn't take ibuprofen just to see how long I could tolerate the pain. To my surprise I didn't experience any pain until my 7th game. Two months I got to bowling late one night and my knee was feeling alright so I didn't put the kneed-it on. I figured I would test my knee and see where it's at. When I finished the 3 games my knee was pounding even with taking ibuprofen. It hurt for 2 days after. I'm never again bowling without it until my knee is fully healed. I also wear a copper fit sleeve underneath it for comfort. I don't take ibuprofen before bowling anymore. I just use the kneed-it strap. It's definitely worked for my situation. Everyone is different so you'll have to try it and see. Hopefully it'll work for you.5It helps, but design needs to be tweakedBought it to help with "runner's knee pain" & patellar tracking. Have not tried similiar devices, but I picked this one because of the idea of the "V" and magnets. However good the concept, some things need to be reworked. Pros - The V design does seem to help keeping all the bits & pieces in your knee where they're suppose to be - tracking is managed so less pain from patella going off groove, also pressure from "V" on either side alleviates the tendonitus. Cons -- There is no padding on the straps & after wearing for extended periods they dig into you -- very uncomfortable, very defined strap marks after removal with sore & tender flesh! There are pads in the "V" part against your skin (thanks) , but it renders the magnets almost useless -- the magnets are located on either side of the "V" behind the neoprene padding. Testing the strength of the magnet, it could barely hold on to a safety pin (and I had to place the safety pin on the magnet part; it was not really strong enough to "pick up" at all; no resistance when you pull the safety pin off). There is a non-magnet version of this device; it shaves on the cost if you don't subscribe to the magnetic therapy thing -- that's the one I would have gotten if I had known about the strength of these magnets. Put something (knee sleeve, a cotton bandana, etc.) between skin & the Kneedit -- that makes the device more comfortable, reducing but not altogether eliminating the line marks & tenderness from the straps digging in. If the product was redesigned it might be very good. Unfortunately, this product isn't quite the solution for me in its current form, so I will keep looking.3Best ever supportI was in a car accident 10yrs ago. My right knee folds up on me when I do a lot of physical activity. I have tried a lot of crap. I have spent money for things I never even wore because they hurt. But this summer, I had agreed to help a friend move. I kept imagining myself falling up or down the flight of stairs at my friends new place. I read a lot of reviews. I did not want to fall!! At long last, I purchased this band. This thing works like magic. It kept my knee stable and my knee was less sore than usual after a lot of trips up and down steps! And I didn t fall!!! I never even stumbled!! And I can t recommend this band enough!! You will forget your even wearing it!!! So comfortable!!!If you need support or relief for your knee- you can t go wrong with this purchase!!5WITCH! WITCH! WITHCRAFT!!! BURN HIM!!!!Is what they would say about whoever invented this little miracle.I'm still in a little disbelief. This thing instantly reduced my knee pain by 80% right out of the box! I know everyone is different and each case is different. My knee had been feeling like "if I could only crack it all this would go away" If you know what I'm talking about, then at least try this thing out.I have runner's knee. If I sit for a long period my knee will hurt A LOT during those first few steps, then the pain resolves into a dull ache that's not life altering, but that you know is there. Nothing showed up in the x-rays so it was diagnosed as patellofemoral pain syndrome (or...we have no clue why your knee hurts, dude...lose some weight cause that's probably it) and I totally agree with them.Only problem is, the knee pain was killing me after long walks or an hour of tennis, or just from sitting for 20 minutes! I put this thing on this morning when it arrived and it's like freaking magic. It's so good I'm worried it's just my mind or that it won't keep working this well tomorrow. I'll post updates either way.UPDATE:After using it for a while, I am still tickled pink by how well this thing works. But I have discovered a weak point. The strap can irritate the area behind the knee if you're not careful. Since it uses a rather rough Velcro style band to tighten, you need to pay attention and make sure it sits squarely on itself. You will know what I mean when you use it. If you let the spiky part (the Hook of the Hook and Loop Velcro) stick out, it will rub against the inside of your knee and cause irritation. Also, like all good things, one tends to want more and more, so it's easy to overtighten. Just make sure the straps are firm enough that it won't move around and don't pull on it like you're trying to get Excalibur out of the rock. Don't ask me how I know.5First of 5 Knee Supports I've Tried that Actually FITS and Seems to HelpSurprisingly comfortable. I forget I am wearing them. Definitely I feel less pain over the course of the day when wearing them. I don't know WHY they work tho. They seem to be too low down on the leg to do anything, but my knee clicks back into place more easily during the day when I am wearing it, and I have less trouble standing up after sitting too long when I am wearing them.Tried wearing them at night, and am still trying to figure out if it helps. Sometimes it seems to but not always.4
